Just learned about this in my management class...
-Our cell phones have more computing power in them then the Apollo satellite.
-The amount of information on the internet doubles every 18 months.
-It is predicted that in the next few years, the amount of information on the internet will double every 11 hours.
-All those internet worlds were you create avatars will be able to be interchangeable so the Barbies from Barbie.com (that is primarily geared toward girls ages five to fifteen) will be able to go into World Of Warcraft...
-Their are 60 million facebook users uploading 14 million pictures daily.
-We are on the cusp of Web 2.0 which allows for two-way communication and online communities, Web 3.0 is predicted to have 3D portals and 3D representation of avatars (which means I could have someone sit in the room with me who isn't in the room, or I cold go to class without actually going to class.)...
